Castlemartyr Resort are delighted to have Sommelière Sandra Biret-Crowley on hand to offer her guidance and expertise when choosing from our extensive in-house collection.
Sandra was raised in a small village in the North West of France not far from Nantes, the capital of AOC Muscadet. After spending time learning to make wine in the Loire Valley, along with studying as an apprentice in service, wine appellation and grape varieties, Sandra decided to travel to Ireland to improve her English.
In the coming years Sandra worked in Hayfield Manor Hotel and Dromoland Castle as a Sommelière. It was also during this time that she joined the team in Castlemartyr Resort for the first time, returning to us again in 2018.
‘I really enjoy my job; the wine is my passion. And of course, the customers satisfaction. I have been very lucky to be able to travel around Europe as my part of my work including Spain, France, Portugal and Italy, to visit the wineries and vineyards. Castlemartyr Resort is a beautiful place to be!’
