We take great pride in the American connections and influences throughout the history of Castlemartyr Resort, from visits by President Bill Clinton, to the incredible story of 19th-century horticulturist, businessman, and author John Saul, who travelled from Castlemartyr to Washington in the mid-1800 and was responsible for landscaping many of the city’s public spaces including those associated with the White House such as the Mall, Smithsonian Grounds and Lafayette Square.
We greatly look forward to welcoming our American friends and guests again in the future.
