We had an unbelievable experience with our wedding in Castlemartyr Resort. Everything about it was done with great care and the service was genuinely exceptional. Every guest we spoke to complemented the setting, the food and the staff. There was a very personal, boutique feeling to the place which is very impressive given its a 5 star resort. We could not recommend it highly enough to any couple looking for a venue for their wedding.

Having first visited Castlemartyr for a weekend in 2014 and falling in love with the venue & the amazing staff, there really was no contest when it came to choosing Castlemartyr as our wedding venue when we became engaged in 2019. Having initially booked our wedding for September 2020, Covid put paid to this and we rescheduled more than once, but we finally had the pleasure of hosting our wedding ceremony & reception at Castlemartyr Resort on Friday 01st October 2021. Our first meeting was with Elaine Mulcahy and although she is no longer with the resort she deserves a mention as we had all our dealings with Elaine up to January 2020. Then enter the ‘tour de force’ that is Jackie Day. In the months leading up to our day nothing was ever too much of an ask and at times I would feel guilty emailing Jackie – there were many emails! Planning a wedding with restrictions has put enormous stress on couples and hotels alike with so many moving parts and Jackie was wonderful to deal with at all times. Jackie is an expert in wedding co-ordination, and while I am a perfectionist, Jackie on the day was on hand at all times and thought of the little things that I forgot – coffee, prosecco, light brunch etc. brought to the bridal suite where it was very much welcomed by us all as we had an early start that morning. I know that she did so much more on the day that I didn’t see and I will be forever grateful to Jackie. We can honestly say, hand on heart, that our wedding day was the best day of our lives and it was all made possible by Jackie and the team at Castlemartyr. I even think Jackie had a say in the weather as the sun shone that day and our dream of having our ceremony outside was fulfilled (I arrived at the venue 2 days before the wedding with my chief bridesmaid and the weather was dismal, especially on the eve of the wedding). I may have planned our special day but it was the execution on the day by Jackie and the wider team that really wowed both Donnagh and I. I would have those 4 days back in a heartbeat and at Castlemartyr. Our family and friends were also treated exceptionally well that weekend, as we all travelled from Clare the majority stayed 2/3 nights, and they have all commented on the friendliness of the staff, the service, the food and the standard of accommodation. We also want to give a special mention to Kay and Trevor, who went above and beyond, not only that weekend, but also for the times before the wedding when we visited the hotel to stay or on day trips with our families to show them the venue, you both have always been so welcoming. Brendan you have built an amazing team at Castlemartyr and we wish you all continued success. Castlemartyr will always hold a very special place in our hearts, a magical place where the best of memories were made, which will be treasured always. We look forward to seeing you all again very soon. We would highly recommend Castlemartyr as a wedding venue, they are truly exceptional.

From the initial planning stages, up until the day itself, all of the team at Castlemartyr were incredibly helpful and friendly. No ask was too big; it was a pleasure to have had our wedding there and we cannot wait to return!

I cannot thank Castlemartyr resort enough and Sarah Flynn for all they did for our wedding. I provided all the decor and they set up everything to exactly how I wanted. The food, service and staff were amazing. Not one guest could fault any part of the day. Highly recommend this hotel if you want your wedding day to be so special

We had the most wonderful wedding day in Castlemartyr. From start to finish the staff couldn’t have treated us any better and everything went so perfectly on the day. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Jackie took care of every little detail and made sure our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. Her attention to detail was fantastic and she was such a great help in the lead up to the wedding as well as on the day itself. We had one change in wedding date and Jackie made sure this was never an issue for us and the change was very stress-free. I would have no hesitation is recommending Castlemartyr for a wedding venue it was exceptional.

Our wedding at the Castlemartyr Resort was everything we expected and more. The staff were so friendly and super helpful. They made sure the day ran perfectly. All of our friends and family were blown away with how the venue looked and how good the staff were.

Castlemartyr is the most fabulous venue and we are so thrilled we decided to have our wedding there. During the Covid pandemic over the last 1.5 years, the team have been so supportive and incredibly flexible in helping us to rearrange our wedding. We ended up postponing our wedding three times and with the help of Castlemartyr, the stress and worry was taken out of this for us as nothing was a problem for them and they helped us to plan around the restrictions. We cannot thank the staff enough for all their wonderful service, support and help throughout the planning of our big day, and of course for the amazing personal touches they provided on our wedding day. We were made to feel so special, all our guests were extremely well looked after and everyone is still talking about how wonderful the food, service and venue was. We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception in Castlemartyr Resort on Saturday the 10th of July 2021. We had a delightful experience from our first contact with the hotel last November up until our wedding day. Our first experience with Castlemartyr Resort was with Danielle Murhilly (events management) just after we got engaged. She was extremely helpful and was genuinely excited for us as we started to plan our wedding. Danielle passed us onto their outstanding wedding planner Jackie Day in December 2020. I am slightly embarrassed to say that I exchanged 240 emails with Jackie from then until July 2021! Jackie was at all times; warm, friendly, helpful and extremely efficient! There was no request that Jackie didn’t do her utmost to fulfil. Wedding planning during Covid-19 was at times stressful but Jackie assisted us to navigate the continued changes to restrictions and guidelines! Her attention to detail shone through on the day of the wedding when our plans were executed with perfection! We had truly magical day with their wonderful staff. On the morning of the wedding the bridal party attended the spa for hair and makeup. This truly was a lovely experience and started the day with excitement and the royal treatment we continued to receive throughout our wedding day. The food was incredible and lots of guests complemented the menu after the big day. The rooms were beautiful, particularly the bridal suite (which we spend 3 nights in). We would highly recommend Castlemartyr resort as a wedding venue

The wedding coordinator Sarah along with Jackie were so attentive and nothing was a problem on the day or the lead up to the wedding. Martin in the bell tower made sure we wanted for nothing. We felt so spoilt by all the staff, in particular Rebecca and Luke. What an incredible experience. The food was divine and the manor menu had excellent choice. Couldn’t fault a thing and can’t thank Castlemartyr Resort enough for making our day so special.

We were blown away by the job Jackie and her colleagues did to deliver a wedding that was beyond our expectations. From the minute we arrived in Castelmartyr the day before our wedding every detail was looked after. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. On the wedding day itself, the garden room (for our scaled down COVID wedding) looked like a dream. Our guests commented that the food was some of the best they had ever had at a wedding and we completely agree! We would like to give a special mention to Chris Harold, who on the night we felt went above and beyond for us. Although it was not the wedding we originally planned, Castlemartyr made sure we didn’t feel hindered by restrictions and the day felt so relaxed and special. We wouldn’t change a thing about the day and would have no hesitation in recommending Castlemartyr to family and friends.

We got married in Castlemartyr in June 2021 and had an absolutely fantastic stay start to finish. The staff could not have been more accommodating, even going as far as providing special orders for our guests. We had 25 guests in the Garden Room and it was set up so beautifully for our special day. Our son was included in many ways especially in the lead up which meant a lot to us. Everyone had a fantastic time and felt very safe. The food was amazing and our guests really enjoyed the whole experience.We could not have done it without the amazing help of Jackie Day, Gérard, Chris and all the team in Castlemartyr. They organised everything with very little time and the day went off without a hitch. Our drinks reception was outside in the gardens and Ciara who was serving us was so friendly and fun. We stayed for a second day and night relaxing in the gardens and taking it all in. It was such a beautiful experience for us and we couldn’t be happier. We just can’t wait to get back now!!
