Library Street comes to Castlemartyr Resort
Castlemartyr Resort is delighted to welcome Library Street Chef Kevin Burke to the resort for the culinary takeover as they share a philosophy of creating dishes using the best ingredients for delicious dining.
This Monday December 4th, for what promises to be a very special dining event, Library Street is taking over dining at Canopy Restaurant in Castlemartyr Resort, where they will bring their unique dining experience to the East Cork resort.
Library Street Restaurant located in the heart of Dublin 2, encapsulates the tenet of relaxed city dining perfectly. Exquisite dishes, sharing plates, a distinctive wine list all served in considered social surroundings, are the reasons that Library Street is an ever-popular post work and weekend venue, with sought after tables.
Library Street Chef Kevin said, “I think we have created a special offering at Library Street. Every member of the team lends their personal skill to creating our dishes and menus, so it’s going to be an interesting experience touring what it is we do at another venue. We respect the ingredients, and balance creating delicious flavours with an enjoyable dining experience. It’s about more than the food.”

Time: Individual table bookings are availble for both sittings at 6.30pm and 9.00pm
Details: The set menu is priced at €90.00 per person and an optional wine pairing experience will also be available for an additional €75 per person (please note this set menu will have no customisation for dietary requirements).

About Chef Kevin Burke
A native of Dublin, Kevin studied Culinary Arts at the Dublin Institute of Technology. On graduation, he was offered a position at the renowned Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud working with head chefs, Guillaume Lebrun and Kieran Glennon. It was here Kevin developed a passion for French cooking and an appreciation of the importance of high-quality produce. He next travelled to London where he took on the position of sous chef at Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social. He later joined Jun Tanaka’s newly opened restaurant, The Ninth, as Head Chef. Within the first year, they gained a Michelin star. Kevin returned to Dublin in 2019 to work alongside Niall Davidson and Hugh Higgins in Allta.
Kevin’s latest venture, Library St, is a contemporary wine bar and restaurant located off South Frederick Street in Dublin. The restaurant’s name is a reference to the name originally intended for the 18th-century street leading down towards the now world-famous library in Trinity College. Library St. also holds a special place in Kevin’s heart, having gotten engaged and had his wedding ceremony in the building prior to taking it over.
