Could it be Magic?

Leaving close friends in the Knights Bar of the Castlemartyr Resort I wandered outside to the formal gardens to indulge in the peace and tranquillity for a moment. I took a seat on the edge of a feature fountain and gazed up at the night sky.

There is nothing quite like the unexpected visual delight of a shooting star. Rare and wondrous, they are like nature’s own amuse bouche. The heavenly display is an evocative demonstration of her ability to amaze. Like all magical moments, mysterious on one hand and very natural on the other, such events can instil a feeling of simple appreciation of life and the wonder it sometimes brings.

We can all look back at certain points in our lives and remember these few but ‘magical’ moments. Memories that evoke an unprompted smile during the most mundane of tasks or times. Such moments are to be cherished in the maelstrom of the modern competitive world we live in. There are times when these moments are all that lie between ourselves and sanity!

So what is it that creates such a unique retrospective feeling of wonder? What is the formula to the creation of these wondrous moments that will no doubt be part of our future reflection? Perhaps its there already…

Welcome to Castlemartyr Resort, a magical place, created with care and crafted from unprecedented attention to detail. Its design and ethos bestow an opportunity to all her guests to create lasting memories and savour magical moments. It is the perfect place to share with those who matter in your world. Walk hand in hand with your partner through the mazed formal gardens, bring your kids to explore the seemingly endless grounds with the resort’s resident Irish Setters, Earl and Countess. Enjoy afternoon tea with parents in the ornate chandelier crowned ambiance of the Garden room or experience the serenity of the horse drawn carriage tour that meanders through the mature parklands of this spectacular resort.

Set in the soft rolling countryside of East Cork, Ireland, the resort is waiting to become a magical moment for you and yours.

Whilst at the resort be sure to take in a leisurely stroll at the nearby scenic Ballycotton Cliff Walk, one of East Cork’s hidden gems. Indulge in the culinary delights of the Farm Gate restaurant, Midleton which doubles as an intimite wholesome Food Market. It could be considered a little sister, if you will, to the renowned English Market in Cork City. Finally, be sure to call to Pat Shortt’s pub in the village of Castlemartyr. Pat is a comedian of international renown and his cosy establishment encapsulates East Cork’s friendly banter and traditional charm.

So, could it be magic? No, it’s simply the art of creating memories, a signature of the Castlemartyr Resort.
